What do I need to rent a Slingshot?

  • You must have a current, valid U.S. or State driver's licenseNO PAPER LICENSE WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • Driver must be at least 25 years of age.
  • You must know how to drive a manual/standard transmission.
  • We require a valid credit card in your name on file for all reservations.

Is there a deposit?

No there is no deposit to rent the slingshot. However you must have a valid credit card on file in case of incidentals.  

How many miles am I limited to with my rental?

All rentals come with NO MILEAGE LIMIT, however, the vehicle cannot leave the United States of America. 

Will I need insurance?

Don't be fooled by other rental companies that say your personal car insurance covers you! It does NOT. These vehicles do not meet the crash rating for automobiles, therefore you must have a specialized insurance! If you get in an accident, you will NOT be protected and will be 100% responsible for all damages to you, the vehicle, and whoever else was involved. This specialized insurance is INCLUDED on all rentals through Hill Country Slingshot Rentals! 

What is your refund policy?

Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 48 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Cancellations that occur within 48 hours will receive credit only for a future reservation.  Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about rescheduling.

What are your hours?

We operate our business around reservations therefore we do not keep regular business hours. Therefore, if you come to our office without a reservation, we may not be there. We accept reservations online or by phone. If you want to reserve last minute, please call us to check for availability. Our slingshots typically book out a couple weeks in advance on the weekends or holidays!

What is the penalty for late returns?

If you are running late, please contact us! Returning a rental after the specified time results in a charge for the prorated amount that is lost. If more than two hours late, you will be charged for a full days rental. We do offer hourly extensions if the unit is available.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

Yes! But don't fret! We will walk you through the proper safety gear and provide you with a helmet free of charge. 

Ready to rent? What to do next...

Pick the slingshot you want to rent and select the availability button on our website. Our booking software will help you find availabilities on the days you are requesting. On the day of your reservation, please arrive 20 minutes early to sign rental waivers, go over the safety procedures, and get fitted for a helmet. We will provide you with any additional information in regards to the adventure you select!

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes! We offer group discounts if booking 3 or more slingshots, as well as a military/veteran discount of 10%. Refer someone? Have them put your name down and you get 15% off your future rental! Please call us before making your reservation for assistance.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Surprise that special someone with an experience they will never forget. Select any amount that you would like to gift and you will receive an email confirmation to use when they choose. Gift certificates never expire.
